Los Barrios prides itself on its home cooking and original flavors.
It has been featured in Texas Monthly several times and is the recipient of many awards such as
"100 Best Restaurants in America" by Esquire Magazine and "Outstanding Mexican Restaurant" by the New York Times.
The Barrios family has developed their own secret recipe creations of Tex-Mex favorites as well as their own specialty dishes that make Los Barrios unique among Mexican restaurants. They also serve American classics such as hamburgers and chicken fried steak.
Family member Diana Barrios Trevino has made many of the famous Barrios family recipes available
in her cookbook entitled "Los Barrios Family Cookbook".
It features a foreword by Emeril LaGassse and is available at Barnes and Noble bookstores ($17.95).
