Description:
Continuing a long time family tradition that started in 1924, Texas Pride Barbecue re-opened in 1996 to serve Texans some of the best barbeque available anywhere. Located southeast of San Antonio near Adkins, Texas Pride's combination of food and atmosphere turn the short drive into a trip back in time. The restaurant is a restoration of the original Texas Pride restaurant, and everywhere on display are authentic antiques, juke boxes, and farm equipment to add to the setting. If you remember the old days (or wish you did), see them at Texas Pride. On Saturdays from 6 pm to11 pm live music is provided by local rock, country, and blues bands. From March through October every Friday night from 5:30 pm to 11 pm there is a fish fry with music and dancing. They are not just an interesting place to vist - their food is some of the best BBQ you will find anywhere.
